Defensive Pistol Course
FMI’s Defensive Pistol class is designed to teach intermediate pistol skills and knowledge, the mental aspects of marksmanship and self defense, and basic pistol tactics and handling skills for self defense. This is not a basic class! If you are a new shooter please take our Basic Pistol class first.
Who should take this course?
Experience pistol owners that are new to concealed carry and those that want to develop their self defense pistol tactics.

Course of Fire II: Malfunctions and Reloads
Course of Fire III: Shooting From a Holster
Course of Fire IV: Move and Shoot Drills
Course of Fire V: One Handed Shooting Drills
Course of Fire VI: Fighting From the Ground
Course of Fire VII: Multiple Target Drills
Course of Fire VIII: Cover and Concealment
Course of Fire IX: Judgmental Shooting Drills

8 hours on the range
Course Requirements
Previous experience is required.
Students under the age of 18 will require a signed consent form from their parent or guardian. State issued identification is required to verify age.
Students are to bring their own pistol and a holster. If you do not have a pistol, then a rental pistol may be available for an additional fee.
250 rounds of ammunition. Reloads and hand loaded ammo are not permitted.
Ear and Eye Protection.
